Clear Anodizing

Double Anodizing

Anodizing graphics into the finish.

Parts are anodized then an epoxy resist is screened/applied where the first anodizing run will remain. Then the part is stripped and re-anodized in a different color. Next the Epoxy resist is removed revealing the original anodizing on the different anodized background!

Clear Hard Anodizing

Hard Anodizing is done to MIL-A-8625F TYPE III Class 1. This process is done at freezing(30 degrees F) and has extreme resistance to friction/abrasion, harsh environments including chemicals and saltwater. Easily a 1-2 mil build up.

Flat-Surface

Screen Printing

We do traditional Screen printing here at Ballard. We make our own Artworks, Films and Silk Screens. We screen directly onto parts we have finished, onto painted parts as well as labels and tags on metal, vinyl and polycarbonate.

Pre-Finish

Mask / Plug

We can provide most pre-finish requirements in house such as but not limited to masking, plugging, deburring, grain finishing and blasting.

Hard Anodizing is done to MIL-A-8625F TYPE III Class 2. This process is done at freezing(30 degrees F)and has extreme resistance to friction/abrasion, harsh environments including chemicals and saltwater. Easily a 1-2 mil build up. Can be dyed any color desired.

Metal / Lexan / Vinyl

Labels and Tags

We do stock some substrates for printing such as Aluminum stock in various different thicknesses, Vinyl in various different colors and polycarbonate. We can print directly onto your supplied material as well. Please call to discuss capabilities.

Clear and Gold Alodine

Alodine, Chemical Conversion process and Iriditing are all the same process depending on your area. We Alodine Clear and Gold with the traditional method and also the new RoHS compliant Trivalent Clear Alodine as well. Our Alodine processes meet MIL-DTL-5541 TYPE I and TYPE II.

Flat-Surface

Grain / Brush

We can Grain or Brush, flat metal stock with sizes up to 4 feet by 6 feet. This is not a timesaver graining service it is a cosmetic grain finish done by hand!
